Release date: August 27, 2026
This release is about one thing: letting a single subscription take care of the whole family. The Family and Pro plans are now open to everyone and Family Space launches with them — plus two long-overdue fixes: a heads-up before your plan expires, and clear math when you renew.
What’s new
1. Family Space launches; Family and Pro plans on sale
The Family plan (2 TB, 5 members) and Pro plan (4 TB, 8 members) are out of the waitlist and available now. After purchasing, invite your family under Account → Family Space:
- Every member gets their own private file area — invisible to others, safe from accidental deletion
- Storage is one shared pool: whoever needs space uses it, no per-person allocation to manage
- Invited members pay nothing — accept the invitation and start using it; members can leave and the owner can free up seats at any time
- Per-file limits go up too: 20 GB on Family, 50 GB on Pro
2. We now remind you before your plan expires
You’ll get an email 7 days and again 1 day before your paid storage expires. Until now, expiry was silent — many of you only found out when an upload failed. That shouldn’t happen. On a Family plan, every member gets the reminder, not just the person who paid.
3. Clearer math for renewals and upgrades
- Your billing page now shows the expiry date and a renew button
- Renewing the same plan: the new term starts where the current one ends — you never lose a day
- Upgrading to a higher plan: the unused value of your current plan is credited automatically, and any surplus becomes extra time
- The checkout lays out the full calculation before you pay
4. The 7-day refund is now in the terms
Any paid plan can be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked — just email [email protected]. This is now formally part of our terms of service, not just a promise on a landing page.
One more thing
