To keep resources available for users who actively use Kzwr, long-inactive free accounts are cleaned up. Paid users and Family-plan members are exempt.
Any of these keeps your account active: signing in, uploading a file, downloading your own files, someone accessing one of your share links, or having an active paid subscription.
In short: a yearly sign-in, or ongoing traffic to your share links, is enough.
• 12 months of inactivity → we send the first reminder to your registered email.
• 13 months → second reminder.
• 14 months → final notice (30-day deletion warning).
• 15 months → files in the account are permanently deleted. The account itself is kept (you can reactivate it, but files cannot be recovered).
Personal / Family / Pro subscribers: never cleaned up while the subscription is active.
Members invited under a Family plan: as long as the primary subscription is active, all member accounts are exempt.
Accounts that downgrade to free after a subscription ends: re-enter the free-account inactivity rules.
Easiest: sign in once a year.
Or keep traffic flowing through your share links — that counts as activity automatically.
Or upgrade to any paid plan and forget about it entirely.
No. Once cleaned, files cannot be restored. Please sign in or export important files when you receive the reminder emails.
We do not honor "I didn't see the emails" appeals — that's exactly why we send 3 reminders across 90 days.
Storage has real cost. Free 10 GB is a benefit for users actively using it. Reclaiming long-abandoned accounts is what lets us keep the free tier sustainable.
12 years of independent operation, no outside investors — restraint like this is how we got here.
